Mt. Himlung Expedition


Expedition to Himlung Himal has been unexpectedly increasing since couple of years. This Himal lies at Peri Himal range in the Manang region. The Base Camp is situated at an altitude +4,850m. Himlung Himal isn’t of particularly difficult it is a very beautiful course of alpinism in altitude from its Base Camp to the summit.

The route to Phu Gaon from Manang is newly opened and fewer tourists have visited, so far. These routes are combined with high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow gullies, lovely forests, amazing rock and spring formations, Gompas and unique varied cultures.


Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu - transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: preparation for expedition.

Day 03: Briefing at Nepal Tourism Board and last preparation.

Day 04: Transfer from Kathmandu to Besisahar (Khudi) - Bhulbhule (8,30m).

Day 05: Bhulbhule – Jagat (1,314m).

Day 06: Jagat - Dharapani (1,942m).

Day 07: Dharapani – Koto (2,600m).

Day 08: Koto – Dharamsala.

Day 09: Dharamsala – Kayang.

Day 10: Kayang – Phu.

Day 11-20: Phu – Himlung BC: installation of base camp at (+-4,570m) and climb Himlung (7,126m).

Day 21: Phu – Kharka.

Day 22: Kharka – Pisang (3,250m).

Day 21: Pisang – Manang (3,540m).

Day 22: Manang – Thorung Phedi (4,450m).

Day 23: Thorung Phedi – Thorung La (5,416m) – Muktinath (3,800m).

Day 24: Muktinath - Kagbeni - Jomsom (2710m)

Day 25: Jomsom – Pokhara by Air, Pokhara-Kathmandu by Air or Bus and transfer to the hotel.

Day 26: Rest day.

Day 27: Departure.
